Chris Rehs-Dupin, he/him
Co-Founder & Co-Executive Director
Chris was the Founder of Transplaining for Camps (the last iteration of TQAMP) and is excited to be moving forward as a Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director of TQAMP. He has found so much self-healing and joy in working with camps around the country on building belonging into their culture. With a patterned shirt collection bigger than a costume closet, Chris uses humor, storytelling, and a theater background to ignite people into action. Chris meets people where they are and educates with empathy, not shame. He brings seventeen years of combination day/overnight camp experience and a passion for helping others be their best selves & make their biggest impact. Through Transplaining for Camps, Chris has helped hundreds of camps create broader belonging for campers and staff.

Al Murray, they/them
Co-Founder & Co-Executive Director
Al brings 15+ years of experience in youth development, facilitation and nonprofit leadership . Since beginning work in camps 22 years ago, they’ve served at multiple YMCA and Girl Scouts associations and in senior leadership levels at 2SLGBTQIA+ youth-serving organizations and advocacy groups across the South—most recently at the Campaign for Southern Equality in Asheville, North Carolina. Al is also an artist and maker and uses creativity and curiosity in every aspect of the support they offer clients. Their history leading teams pursuing equity and justice fuels an ever-present analysis of power and meaning-making in all their relationships. Al is known for their pep-talks and a signature emphasis: Orienting to Joy—amplifying it as a truth when it is present, connecting themself and others with it, and channeling its power however possible. The only things they love more than pizza are their adorable wife Rebecca and twin toddlers Sam and Starr.

Amy Rehs-Dupin, she/her

Amy provides the TQAMP team with the essential foundation to thrive—serving as the critical link between our exceptional training staff and the clients we serve. With a keen eye for operational excellence and a deep commitment to mission-driven work, Amy ensures that systems run seamlessly so the focus can remain on impact. Her multidisciplinary background spans camping and leadership development, educational advisement, HR, operations, sales, and marketing. Prior to joining TQAMP, Amy played a pivotal role in building and sustaining a national startup, gaining valuable experience in growth strategy and organizational resilience. Driven by a passion for inclusive community-building, Amy thrives in fast-paced, purpose-filled environments. She is inspired by TQAMP’s mission to reimagine how communities engage at camp—and believes wholeheartedly that camp should be a space where we draw the circle wide enough for everyone to belong.

Ben Matthews, they/he
Trainer
Ben is an Oklahoma based Inclusion and Access consultant. Ben has worked with 20+ summer overnight camping programs to ensure that their programs and spaces are accessible, safe, and affirming for historically excluded populations. In 2019 Ben also initiated the work of addressing and ending the century old cultural appropriation that exists within organized camping and scouting, specifically that at Camp Fire. Ben has led hundreds of national and international DEI trainings, facilitated support groups for trans* and gender-nonconforming folks, directed Oklahoma's first ever 2SLGBTQ+ specific summer camp session, and been an 2SLGBTQ+ activist, advocate, and educator for more than 20 years. Ben’s lived experience as a queer, trans, disabled person growing up in rural Oklahoma gives them a unique perspective and ability to connect people of varied identities and opinions. Ben also serves on the board of directors for ACLU of Oklahoma, and is the Oklahoma representative on the national board of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Jennifer Boudrye, she/her
Trainer
Jennifer is on a mission to build safe, inclusive communities one ally at a time! As the founder of Queer Allyship, Jennifer guides parents, allies, and employers to confidently create affirming spaces through workshops, coaching, and practical tools for lasting change. A parent to three adults (including a bi son and a pan daughter), a bonus mom to a trans man, and a grandma to three, Jennifer brings both personal insights and professional expertise to her work.
With master’s degrees in Library Science and Educational Leadership and over 20 years in education, including her time as Director of Libraries for DC Public Schools, Jennifer combines knowledge with compassion to make allyship approachable and impactful. She also founded Queer Camp Fair, a directory connecting families with queer-affirming camps across North America, helping LGBTQ+ youth thrive in supportive environments.
Jennifer’s goal is to empower families, allies, and workplaces to become the inclusive, affirming spaces that every queer individual deserves.

Laura Brown-Rivera, she/they
Trainer
Laura, LMSW is an activist, educator, and licensed therapist. With a fierce love of community and a commitment to social equity, Laura brings an intersectional identity and a radical, womynist, restorative justice lens to her therapeutic practice. They are passionate about working with young kids, teens, and young adults; LGBTQIA+ community, people of color (particularly those navigating predominantly white institutions); and folx who are struggling with identity and self-esteem. Laura has significant education & experience in the field of Child Development, with a clinical focus on Cultural Identity Development, Self-Efficacy, and those significantly impacted by Adverse Childhood Experiences. Laura has over a decade of experience with psychotherapy, mentoring/clinical supervision of graduate students, education & training, and I/O consulting; in a variety of settings including: Primary/Secondary Schools, Hospitals/In-patient, Non-Profits, Grassroots Organizations, Mobile Crisis Teams, in addition to her private practice – Live Your Truth (LYT) Counseling.

Alex McNeill, he/him

Partner & Coach, The Management Center
Rev. Alex Patchin McNeill coaches clients in the progressive sector to articulate and act on their vision for a more just world. He is also the Principal at AMP Coaching, a coaching and consulting practice focused on supporting leaders and mission-driven organizations to expand their lived values, practices, and operations towards greater diversity, equity, and inclusion. Alex is a member of the Faith Advisory Council at Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, partnering with AU to protect democracy by preserving church/state separation.
Between 2013-2021, Alex served as the executive director of More Light Presbyterians (MLP). At MLP, Alex empowered and equipped hundreds of faith communities to visibly and tangibly expand inclusion for LGBTQIA+ people and implement antiracist practices for deeper equity. As a non-profit leader and activist Alex has: worked to elect LGBTQIA+ leaders; advocated for reproductive justice; and won state, national, and denominational legislation affirming and protecting the rights and dignities of queer and trans people. Before earning a Master’s of Divinity from Harvard University, Alex got his start in LGBTQIA+ and reproductive rights activism as an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Alex is a white, queer, transgender man, an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A, and certified coach through the International Coaching Federation. Alex lives in Asheville, NC, where he can be found kayaking with his dog Spike, hiking in the mountains, and planning adventures with his partner.

Akari Jensen, she/her/ella

Principal at Northwest Outdoor Science School
Akari Jensen is the Principal at Northwest Outdoor Science School. Born and raised in Portland, she now resides on the unceded ancestral land of the Cayuse, Umatilla, and Walla Walla peoples, among others. Akari began her work with Outdoor School as a Student Leader, which led her to become a classroom teacher for eight years prior to receiving her administrator’s license and joining Northwest Regional Education Service District and the NOSS Team in 2022. This was also the year that Akari met Al and Chris, having worked with them to build our 2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion policy that was implemented last year. Our gender-inclusive housing policy has made Outdoor School a safer place for students and staff. Akari’s passion for intentional community-building outside has been a part of her life since 2006 - the year she started working for Oregon Summer Star, a camp that supports youth from military families in building resiliency through connection. Outside of work and camp, Akari loves rock climbing, hiking, and spending time in the Sandy River with her two-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Jax.

Ellamarie Quimby, she/her

Camp Director, Appel Farms Art Camp
Ella comes from a varied background in education and the arts, having held positions at the Corcoran Gallery of Art, in Washington DC Public Schools, at the University of Alaska, the University of the Arts, and Interlochen Arts Academy. As a queer, mixed, indigenous woman, she grew up without many adults who looked and identified as she did. As a result, Ella is dedicated to taking up space where no one like her has been able to before. She is particularly focused on the intersection of arts education and equity, amplifying youth voices, and creating intentional communities of care wherever she goes. Ella is based on the unceded Lenni-Lenape land known as Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Allison Scott, she/her
Director of Impact and Innovation, Campaign for Southern Equality
Allison Scott, a 5th generation Southerner in Western North Carolina and proudly out trans woman passionately advocates for LGBTQ rights in the South as the Director of Impact & Innovation at the Campaign for Southern Equality. With a rich background spanning the corporate world of Information Technology to grassroots community activism, Allison has worked to devise innovative strategies to channel direct financial resources into Southern states. Her unique approach combines her technical and financial background with a deep understanding of community needs, leading to meaningful and sustainable change. Allison has participated in working sessions at both regional and national levels, collaborating with the US Department of Justice, the Department of Labor, and the EEOC to advance LGBTQ rights. In 2018 she was chosen by USA Today to represent North Carolina in their 50 Faces of Pride for NC, and she has also been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Associated Press, NBC, The News & Observer, along with other national and statewide media. Allison remains committed to breaking down barriers and fostering an inclusive environment for all Southerners.

Henry Thomas, he/they
Senior Manager, Programs and Policy, Family Equality
Henry (he/they) is the Senior Manager, Programs and Policy Education for Family Equality and has been involved in queer advocacy work for over a decade. Prior to FE, they were the Program Coordinator for GLAD Law's legal information helpline and Trans ID Project, and he currently serves on the council of the Plymouth Jazz & Justice Church in Oakland, CA. Henry attended Clark University and has a bachelor’s degree in Women and Gender Studies. Outside of work, he loves to hike while listening to an audiobook, and will watch almost any competitive cooking show. Henry is based in Maine, where they live with their partner and very good dog.

Rebecca Willman, she/her
Senior Regional Director of Partnerships, Upstream USA
Rebecca Willman currently serves as a Senior Regional Director of Partnerships at Upstream USA, focusing on enhancing access to equitable, patient-centered contraceptive care in the Southeast. Willman has an extensive background in nonprofit and small business management, providing consulting services through Rebecca Willman Consulting, LLC since 2015. Previously, Willman held the position of Vice President, Community Impact + Programs at Family Equality, where she led strategic initiatives and programming to benefit LGBTQ+ families. Willman's experience also includes roles as Membership Director at the Abortion Care Network and teaching and research positions in academia. Rebecca lives in North Carolina with her favorite people: her spouse and energetic twins.
